Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and inspiration is the greatest tool for blogging. When I started thinking about travel photography as a way to express myself, I decided to check who’s out there and who actually classifies as a person, I want to emulate. Starting this Friday (I am in Sydney remember, we are well ahead of the rest of the world), I would like to feature one travel blogger, photographer I admire. For the first post in this series, I chose ‘Nomadic Samuel’ aka Samuel Jeffery
Straight out of his website: www.nomadicsamuel.com
My story starts off a little different than what you´ll most likely read on your typical travel blog. I don´t really in particular have an ´escape from the cubicle tale´ in the sense that I´ve never been in one before. The story of my ´nomadic life´ is one in which I have yet to work in Canada as a post university graduate with the majority of my 20´s having been spent overseas in Asia working as an expat English teacher, model, photographer, freelance writer and – of course – as a wandering nomadic soul completely infatuated by all the splendor and woe longterm travel has to offer an individual. I´m a bit of a jack of all trades and a man who wears many hats – the kind of individual that doesn´t like to stay in any one place for any serious length of time.
I HATE HIS LIFESTYLE SO MUCH. Ok seriously, I’ve got nothing but respect for this guy.
My favourite part of his website are his photo essays.Very cool photography with a great story line was enough to turn me into a fan. His blog is also among the top 100 travel blogs . It’s also an absolutely fantastic way to get introduced to a whole heap of travel bloggers.
